We are going to start off our PD series by exploring your comfort levels with implementing the Common Core curriculum. Remember- this is new for everybody. Change is hard. Don't be afraid to be honest and candid!

Build an online learning community by sharing our personal views and comfort level with the Common Core Math curriculum
Ask questions to help us best meet YOUR needs
Directions:
Part 1: Take a few moments to explore our school’s Wiki. If you have never edited a Wiki before review the screencast on the home page and give it a try. Also, an optional Wiki training will be provided later this week- check your email for the date! If you have any questions, please post them.
Part 2 Visit our google doc to learn about team roles. Decide which role each person will take. Fill in the table for at least the first 4 months.

Now that you have a greater understanding of how the Common Core Math curriculum was developed reflect on your own experiences with the new curriculum thus far. What do you think are the most valuable aspects of the Common Core Curriculum? What are the greatest challenges you are facing in implementing the new Common Core Curriculum. What questions do you still have?
As a grade-level team discuss your feelings about the Common Core Math curriculum. The recorder should fill in the chart below. Feel free to add ideas on your own. This chart will be used to guide our professional development series. Please be honest!! We are all in this together!
